This is a great post...and I agree that both Obama and McCain come across as &quot;connectors&quot; - whereas Hillary doesn&#039;t.  I think that&#039;s why the election is going to be between the two guys (I hope that&#039;s the reason, vs. because they&#039;re guys).  

It goes to your point that Americans are yearning for connection - consciously or unconsciously - after years of partisan wrangling and increasing international isolation.
